Come and meet those dancing feet as Theatre at the Center presents the winner of the 1980 Tony Award for "Best New Musical" and the 2001 Tony Award for "Best Revival of a Musical", 42ND STREET. The biggest production to ever be presented on Theatre at the Center's stage, this heart pounding, foot stomping spectacular runs now through October 21 at 1040 Ridge Road, Munster, with a press performance September 16. American Conservatory Theater (A.C.T.) will host a memorial for the late Edward Hastings, who was one of the company's original members and served as A.C.T.'s second artistic director from 1986 to 1992. The event will take place on Sunday, January 22, 2012, at 7 p.m., on the stage of the American Conservatory Theater (415 Geary Street, San Francisco, CA).

Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS' 23rd Annual Gypsy of the Year, which was presented Monday, December 5 and 6, at the New Amsterdam Theatre, featured performances by 17 of the hottest Broadway and Off-Broadway shows, a 40-year reunion of the original Broadway cast of Grease, a tribute to national touring companies and appearances by more than 300 actors, singers and dancers.

The musical adaptation of the popular holiday favorite 'Miracle on 34th Street' will bring holiday cheer to Theatre at the Center's 20th Anniversary, 1040 Ridge Road, Munster, Indiana, November 11 through December 19, with the press performance on Sunday, November 14 at 7 p.m. The production will be directed by William Pullinsi.
Halberstam Wins SDCF's Fichandler Award

Stage Directors and Choreographers Foundation (SDCF), the not-for-profit foundation of Stage Directors and Choreographers Society (SDC), announces that Michael Halberstam of Writers' Theatre is the recipient of the 2010 Zelda Fichandler Award, which recognizes an outstanding director or choreographer who is transforming the regional arts landscape through singular creativity and artistry in theatre. The award heralds accomplishment to date and promise for the future, artistic vision, and deep commitment to a region outside of New York. It carries an unrestricted grant of $5000 to the individual recipient.
