Paper Mill Playhouse was awarded, "Favorite Theater at See a Musical," and "Favorite Choral Group" by the ArtPride New Jersey Foundation. Presented by Discover Jersey Arts, a program of the ArtPride New Jersey Foundation and New Jersey State Council on the Arts, the annual Awards highlight the work of New Jersey's vital and diverse arts community.

Paper Mill Playhouse announces the exciting lineup for its 2018-2019 season with three premieres and a total of five musicals.

New Jersey Theatre Alliance ("the Alliance") is thrilled to present four unique FREE theatre events in March as part of the 21st annual Stages Festival, the state's largest festival of theatre.

Three of New Jersey's top corporations, Bank of America, The Horizon Foundation for New Jersey, and PSEG Foundation, have once again joined forces with the New Jersey State Arts Council to support the 21st annual  Stages Festival ("Stages"). Stages will offer over 90 theatre performances and programs for children and adults free of charge or at significantly discounted rates. Events will take place at theatres, art centers, libraries, schools, and other community venues from March 1st to the 31st, across the state.

Paper Mill Playhouse announced today the world premiere of UNMASKED, which will feature some of Andrew Lloyd Webber's most iconic work and the stories behind its creation, along with new music and memories from his extraordinary life and career, will open its 2018-2019 season.

Hoebee-Producing Artistic Director, Todd Schmidt-Managing Director), recipient of the 2016 Regional Theatre Tony Award, has announced today Harry Connick, Jr. will star as Henry Gondorff in the world-premiere production of The Sting.  The musical is based on the 1973 film, and will have its world premiere at Paper Mill Playhouse for a limited run from March 29 through April 29, 2018, with book by Bob Martin, music and lyrics by Mark Hollmann &Greg Kotis with Harry Connick, Jr.  In addition, the score will contain music by Scott Joplin including 'The Entertainer.'

This hilarious play follows Ned Newley, perhaps the most unlikely candidate ever, who is suddenly and unexpectedly thrust into the role of Governor when the current Governor is forced to resign. Though he has experience with the law, he couldn't have less experience with being a public figure; Newly is lacking in natural charisma and is definitely afraid of public speaking. Desperate to make things work, his political consultants work to keep him on the right track. THE OUTSIDER opened on January 24th and is set to run through February 18th.

In politics, the less you know, the higher you'll go! At once a razor-sharp satire and an inspirational tribute to democracy, The Outsider is a timely and hilarious send-up of modern American politics, written by Paul Slade Smith and directed by David Esbjornson at Paper Mill Playhouse.

Stupak will be welcomed back to Paper Mill Playhouse as trustee emeritus.
