Barrington Stage Company, the award-winning theatre in Downtown Pittsfield, MA under the leadership of Artistic Director Julianne Boyd and Managing Director Tristan Wilson, presented the regional premiere of Nina Raine's  award-winning play,Tribes last night on the Boyd-Quinson Mainstage and BroadwayWorld was there for the opening night and after party.

'H2O' at 59E59 Theatres is a riveting two-hander. Written by Jane Martin and directed by West Hyler, the play is making its New York Premiere through December 13th.

TACT/The Actors Company Theatre presents the Off Broadway premiere of HARD LOVE, the searing 2003 play by Israeli playwright Motti Lerner. This first play of the 2015/16 season -- the company's 23rd -- is directed by TACT Artistic & Executive Director Scott Alan Evans, who most recently directed Beyond Therapy by Christopher Durang. The show is currently playing at Theatre Row's Beckett Theatre. The play celebrated its opening last night, October 11th, and performances continue through October 31, 2015. Lost in Yonkers  opened at Barrington Stage Company last night and BroadwayWorld was there. The show is running through August 1. Winner of the Tony Award for Best Play and the Pulitzer Prize, Lost in Yonkers is a heartfelt and hilarious coming-of-age story by America's great comic playwright, Neil Simon.  Jenn Thompson makes her BSC directing debut.  She is the Co-Artistic Director of The Actors Company Theatre (TACT) in NYC, where she recently directed Beth Henley's Abundance.

Actor James Denton ('DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES') is in town to promote his new show 'GOOD WITCH' on the Hallmark Channel. Last night, he attended TACT's 'ABUNDANCE' to see his friend Todd Lawson, who plays Jack in the show. He congratulated Todd and the rest of the cast after the show. Scroll down for a photo!

Abundance, now playing at the Beckett Theatre, was commissioned in 1989 and is based on true life stories of pioneering women . . . Clearly well researched, Abundance manages to feel both intimate and sweeping . . . Director Jenn Thompson makes one feel like a voyeur. When unexpressed, emotions are evident, when manifest, frequently physically, they're visceral. Characters are defined by carriage as well as dialogue and allotted time to think. Outbursts are never too big to be credible. The stage and minimal set are well used.

ABUNDANCE, the 1990 play by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Beth Henley (Crimes of the Heart), is an epic tale of friendship set against the backdrop of the sweeping American West. Abundance is directed by TACT Co-Artistic Director Jenn Thompson, who directed last season's production of William Inge's Natural Affection. Performances began at Theatre Row's Beckett Theatre (410 West 42nd Street - between 9th & 10th Avenues) on February 17, and the production opened last weekend on March 1. Playwright Beth Henley was in the audience on Saturday night (February 28) to see TACT's production of her play, ABUNDANCE. The cast was not told she was there until after the show and were thrilled to meet her. Scroll down to see her beaming backstage with the cast!

'Parks and Recreation' cast member Jim O'Heir (who played Jerry Gergich) came to see TACT/The Actors Company Theatre's production of ABUNDANCE last night, February 25. Turns out, O'Heir has worked with three out of the five cast members and loved the show. Scroll down for a photo!
