Winner of the Pulitzer Prize for drama, Next to Normal hits the Weston Playhouse's MainStage on July 11 with an all-star cast for what is sure to be a heart-wrenching, spine-tingling theatre experience. Written almost entirely in song, Next to Normal earned the 2009 Tony Award for Best Musical Score. With a national reputation of delivering superb new musicals to its audience, Weston was able to secure both a director and a leading lady with substantial Broadway credits, abundant talent and real passion for the piece. Lincoln Center Theater Producing Artistic Director Andre Bishop and LCT3 Artistic Director Paige Evans have announced a slate of three new works to be produced by LCT3, Lincoln Center Theater's programming initiative devoted to producing the work of new artists and developing new audiences, during the 2013-2014 season. First up will be the world premiere of LUCE, marking the professional debut of playwright JC Lee, directed by May Adrales (Saturday, October 5 through Sunday, November 17 - opening Monday, October 21). LUCE will be followed in January with a second world premiere, STOP HITTING YOURSELF, created by Rude Mechs (Monday, January 13 through Sunday, February 23, 2014 - opening Monday, January 27). The season will conclude with the New York premiere of 2013 Pulitzer Prize winning playwright Ayad Akhtar's new play THE WHO AND THE WHAT, directed by Kimberly Senior (Saturday, May 31 through Sunday, July 13, 2014 - opening Monday, June 16).

Dallas Theater Center presents Neil Simon's classic American comedy, The Odd Couple, directed by DTC Artistic Director Kevin Moriarty. When two men with struggling relationships, neat and particular Felix Ungar and disheveled and rough-edged Oscar Madison, decide to live together, the results are funny and poignant. The Odd Couple opens with previews tonight, March 15 and runs through Sunday, April 14 at the Dee and Charles Wyly Theatre in the AT&T Performing Arts Center.

Everyman Theatre has announced the cast of the Tony Award-winning comedy, God of Carnage by Yasmina Reza. Resident Company Members Megan Anderson, Deborah Hazlett, and Bruce Randolph Nelson will be joined onstage by celebrated DC actor Christopher Bloch. The comedy is the second production in Everyman's new home located in downtown Baltimore, which opened this January.

Vaudeville is a bygone era. Much of its music is forgotten. Seems a pity, since it provided the roots of musical theatre as we know it. Bill Castellino and Mike Burstyn have created Al Jolson at the Winter Garden not only to pay homage to the great entertainer but to keep the memory of this time period vibrantly alive. Now on stage at the El Portal in North Hollywood, Jolson is somewhat illuminating as well as highly satisfying entertainment.

Winner of the Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize, Death of a Salesman tells the story of Willy Loman, a traveling salesman who struggles with the changes of time and his failure to reach success as he and his family pursue the 'American Dream.'
