Casting is confirmed and tickets are now on sale for the Signature Theatre (Paige Evans, Artistic Director; Harold Wolpert, Executive Director; James Houghton, Founder) production of Our Lady of 121st Street, by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Stephen Adly Guirgis and directed by Tony Award-winner Phylicia Rashad. This is the second production of Guirgis' Signature residency, which began last fall with the critically-acclaimed, extended production of Jesus Hopped the 'A' Train, directed by Mark Brokaw. Our Lady of 121st Street marks Rashad's New York City directorial debut.

The Directors Company has announced a reading of The Road Down the Mountain a new play by Jack Canfora, featuring Stephanie Kurtzuba (The Wolf of Wall Street), Jeffrey Doornbos (Grey's Anatomy), Andrew Rein (Jericho), and Terra Mackintosh (Running Interference).

Charlotte Cohn, in association with NewYorkRep and The Telling Company, to present industry readings of Jason Odell Williams' critically acclaimed play Church & State. The readings will take place Sunday October 23rd at 1PM, Monday October 24th at 7PM, and Tuesday October 25th at 1PM at The Cell Theatre (338 W.23rd St.).

The Manhattan Association of Cabarets & Clubs has announced the 4th Annual 'MAC presents THEY WRITE THE SONGS.' The show will be held Sunday, November 15th at 4pm in the Engelman Recital Hall at the Baruch Performing Arts Center (Lexington Avenue at 25th Street).

Midtown Direct Rep (MDR), the resident theater company at South Orange Performing Arts Center (SOPAC), has announced that Academy Award-winner Olympia Dukakis will be joined by Midtown Direct Rep company members Sebastian Arcelus, Jenny Bacon, Emily Bauer and Stephanie Kurtzuba, plus special guests Kendra Jain and Dan Ziskie in a one-night-only staged reading of ABSENCE, a new play about memory loss. Former-actress turned director Margaret Whitton stages this new work by emerging playwright Peter M. Floyd that was honored by the Kennedy Center's 2012 Jean Kennedy Smith Award and the 2012 Kendeda Graduate Playwriting Competition. The performance, part of MDR's Theatre in the Loft series focusing on new and innovative American theatre, is Sunday, January 5, 2014 at 7 pm at SOPAC (One SOPAC Way, South Orange, NJ, 07079). The Astoria Performing Arts Center (APAC), recipient of the 2012 Caffe Cino Fellowship Award from the Innovative Theatre Foundation, has announced their 13th season will include a world premiere play by Sandy Rustin (Rated P (for Parenthood)) THE COTTAGE, directed by Adam Dannheisser (Rock of Ages, resident director), and Rodgers and Hammerstein's ALLEGRO, directed by Artistic Director Tom Wojtunik. 7½ Wondrous Act(s) of True Love is the new high-concept comedy by Kleban Prize-winning writer Jeremy Desmon about the epic lengths we go to for love. Tonight, June 3rd at 7PM, an industry reading will be held at Pearl Studios (500 Eighth Ave., 12th Floor), helmed by Rated P-director Jeremy Dobrish.
