Last night, Broadway's brightest came together for an evening of cabaret in celebration of Rosie's Theater Kids at the Maravel Arts Center (also known as the RTKids facility), hosted by NY1's Theater Reporter: Frank DiLella

Rosie's Theater Kids will feature an evening with Broadway's brightest, including: Stephanie Gibson Chase (Addams Family), Katie Rose-Clarke (Wicked), Jeffry & Erin Denman (Yank! & 42nd Street), Victoria Matlock (Million Dollar Quartet), Aleks Pevec (Catch Me If You Can), Jason Michael Snow (The Book of Mormon), and Willis White (In The Heights) and more.

Bells Are Ringing, the opening Encores! production of the 2010-11 season, features music by Jule Styne and book and lyrics by Betty Comden and Adolph Green. The show ran November 18-21 at New York City Center. Bells Are Ringing is directed and choreographed by Kathleen Marshall with music direction by Rob Berman and stars Kelli O'Hara and Will Chase. The New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) has announced casting for the 2010 festival. Some of Broadway's and Off-Broadway's favorites are participating in the three week festival including Adinah Alexander (The Wedding Singer), Farah Alvin (Nine)

Executive Producer Lou Spisto today announced that the World Premiere of Robin and the 7 Hoods - A New Musical and the West Coast Premiere of Tony Award winner Joe DiPietro's The Last Romance will each receive a week of additional performances due to popular demand.

The World Premiere of Robin and the 7 Hoods - A New Musical featuring a book by Tony Award winner Rupert Holmes and songs by four-time Academy Award winners Sammy Cahn and Jimmy Van Heusen. Directed and choreographed by Casey Nicholaw, with musical supervision and vocal and incidental arrangements by John McDaniel, the Broadway-bound musical comedy will run in the Old Globe Theatre through August 29. Michael Riedel reports in the New York Post this morning that make no mistake about it - Robin and the 7 Hoods, which opened at San Deigo's Old Globe Theatre last Friday, July 30, is coming to town, at least if the widow of the show's lyricist has anything to do with it. Robin and the 7 Hoods, which garnered lukewarm reviews out west, features the music of Sammy Cahn and Jimmy Van Heusen, including the songs 'My Kind of Town,' 'Call Me Irresponsible,' 'Ain't That a Kick in the Head,' 'All the Way' and more. Cahn was Frank Sinatra's preferred lyricist and member of the famed 'Rat Pack.'

On Friday, July 30, the much anticipated, Broadway-bound ROBIN AND THE 7 HOODS opened at The Old Globe Theatre in San Diego.
