The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) announced last night, June 14, the winners of the 40th Annual Daytime Entertainment Creative Arts Emmy Awards in a sold-out, grand gala for over 1,100 attendees at the Westin Bonaventure, in downtown Los Angeles. TACT/The Actors Company Theatre (Scott Alan Evans, Cynthia Harris and Jenn Thompson, Co-Artistic Directors), the critically-acclaimed Off-Broadway company "dedicated to presenting neglected or rarely produced plays of literary merit," announced today that due to a demand for tickets, two weekday matinee performances (Wednesday, April 4 & 11 at 2pm), have been added for Lost in Yonkers, the final production of the company's 2011/12 season. Directed by TACT Co-Artistic Director Jenn Thompson, performances began at Theatre Row's Beckett Theatre (410 West 42nd Street - between 9th & 10th Avenues) on Tuesday, March 13th, 2012 and the enjoyed an official opening night on Thursday, March 22nd. Performances will continue through Saturday, April 14th.

Directed by TACT Co-Artistic Director Jenn Thompson, performances begin at Theatre Row's Beckett Theatre (410 West 42nd Street - between 9th & 10th Avenues) on Tuesday, March 13th, 2012. Opening night is Thursday, March 22nd at 7:30pm. Performances will continue through Saturday, April 14th.

Denver Center Theatre Company is set to present one of Colorado's most sought-after holiday productions, A CHRISTMAS CAROL, by Charles Dickens, adapted by Richard Hellesen, playing the Stage Theater November 25-December 24.

I must say this version feels more like A CHRISTMAS CAROL: THE MUSICAL! So I thoroughly enjoyed it, of course!

Performances of You Can't Take It With You will be given on the Browning Mainstage of the Loretto-Hilton Center for the Performing Arts, 130 Edgar Road (on the campus of Webster University), Webster Groves, September 8 through October 3, 2010.

George S. Kaufman and Moss Hart's classic play, YOU CAN'T TAKE IT WITH YOU, has been given a wonderfully performed and staged presentation by the Repertory Theatre of St. Louis. This venerable favorite is brought to life in splendid fashion, with a superb cast proving that Kaufman and Hart's punchlines still hold up over 70 after the fact, and that some of the them, especially those regarding the ways in which our government spends our tax dollars, still ring resoundingly true and clear today.

A reading of Olga Humphrey's Nasty Bits: In Which the Idealistic as Young Thomas Darsdale Came to America to Start His Life in Politics is set to take place on Monday, September 14th at 7:00pm. There will be a post-performance wine reception and talkback for the Wendy McClellan-directed show.
