TACT has announced the 2016-17 season will kick off with a rare NY revival of Oliver Goldsmith's She Stoops To Conquer, a fully mounted production seen in TACT's 2015-'16 Salon Series.  Performances at The Beckett Theatre at Theatre Row (410 West 42nd Street, between 9th and 10th Avenues) will begin Tuesday October 4th for a strictly limited engagement through November 5th.

The Actors Company Theatre (TACT) announced today that the TACT 2016 Spring Gala will honor former TACT Co-Artistic Director and current company member Simon Jones.

Following a national search, Melbourne Theatre Company is delighted to announce that Guy Simon has been cast in the title role of its much-anticipated stage adaptation of Jasper Jones.

BroadwayWorld has just learned that GREY GARDENS has replaced TITANIC in the 2016 line-up at LA's Ahmanson Theatre. The production will be led by Rachel York and Betty Buckley, who both starred in a production at Bay Street Theatre earlier this year.

Tony Award winning musical Grey Gardens, which opened on Broadway in 2006, is a superb creation. Chiefly speaking here about the incarnation at Bay Street Theatre, this is truly a special event for countless reasons. Among them is the fact that the theatre, based in Sag Harbor, is only around 8 miles from the infamous house, so this truly hits home for them. Another of the many reasons is the remarkable cast.

Tony nominee Howard McGillin, just coming off of GIGI on Broadway, will join Tony winner Betty Buckley and Drama Desk winner Rachel York in Bay Street Theater's summer production of GREY GARDENS, running August 4-30. Getting caught up in costume drama, literally!

Now, to continue in the tradition of giving each of us the theatrical experience we truly relish and yearn for this time of year (if not always!), the Playhouse brings a stellar production of five-time Tony Award Winner The Drowsy Chaperone to a Cape Cod audience, and let me just put it out there now that this production does everything but cause any sort of drowsiness; that is reserved for the title character as she joins a cast of beyond talented performers who make this show the great experience we all so hope to have at the theater. As that lovable man in his chair states, audiences hope for a show that will whisk it away to another world for a couple of hours, sucking each of us into the plot of a new, interesting and at times slightly tumultuous show; hold on to your hats for this one.

The Cape Playhouse's production of The Drowsy Chaperone, starring JoAnne Worley, will play the Massachusetts venue tonight, June 30 - July 11, 2015.

Ten letters and card written to veteran publicist /author Walter Newkirk (memoraBEALEia, Letters of Little Edie Beale, The Secret Life of Walter Newkirk) will be auctioned by Julien's Auctions today and tomorrow, June 26 and June 27.
