Billy Rose's legendary supper club, Diamond Horseshoe, will reopen in its original subterranean location beneath midtown's Paramount Hotel 75 years after it first opened its doors and forever changed New York nightlife. The famed venue will officially open to the public on New Year's Eve. To celebrate its reemergence, Randy Weiner's newest genre-crossing, environmental experience, Queen of the Night, begins on December 31, 2013, for six weeks only.

'Rock of Ages' star Mark Shunock, who plays Lonny the narrator in the hit musical at the Venetian, launches his new 'Mondays Dark' series tonight, October 21, 2013, at 9:30 pm, at The Act inside The Venetian / Palazzo. In addition, some of the guests confirmed for tonight's show include Dot-Marie Jones, three-time Emmy nominee for 'Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series' for her role as Coach Beiste on GLEE, Jai Rodriguez (from MALIBU COUNTRY and QUEER EYE), as well as cast members from ROCK OF AGES and THE ACT in unique performances.

Ghostlight Records will release the original cast recording of the hit downtown production of Dave Malloy's electropop opera NATASHA, PIERRE & THE GREAT COMET OF 1812 later in 2013. The album was recorded Monday, August 26th at MSR Studios in New York City. Dave Malloy, the show's creator, played his final performance as 'Pierre' on June 21st, as he leaves to work on several new projects including commissions from LCT3, San Francisco's American Conservatory Theater, and the Youth Musical Theater Company in Berkeley, as well as upcoming shows at the Incubator Arts Project and The Bushwick Starr.

The Drama League (Executive Director, Gabriel Shanks) has announced the 2013 Drama League Awards Nominees for Distinguished Play, Distinguished Revival of a Play, Distinguished Musical, Distinguished Revival of a Musical, and Distinguished Performance Award. Last fall, Dave Malloy's electropop opera NATASHA, PIERRE & THE GREAT COMET OF 1812 premiered at New York City's Ars Nova in a seven-week sold out run. This spring, the Comet will land again, in a big way, at Kazino - a brand new venue created specifically for the show. Audiences will be transported to a Russian supper club, complete with an authentic Russian menu and bar, by way of a temporary structure that will rise at the corner of West 13th Street and Washington Street - wedged between The High Line and The Standard Hotel in the heart of New York's meatpacking district. According to the New York Times, the show might aim for a bigger stage next season- Broadway. Producer Howard Kagan told the New York Times that he is looking into bringing the experience to a Broadway theatre by 'putting a giant platform of tables, banquettes and performing space over the orchestra seats.'
