Inspired by listener requests in times of the coronavirus, coupled with the advent of Earth Day, THE LOH DOWN ON SCIENCE is launching a limited radio/podcast series called THE LOH DOWN ON SCIENCE: SPECIAL PANDEMIC EDITION (ldospandemicedition.org) on April 22 for eight weeks.

The Saturday, April 11 program at 8:00 p.m. features Richard Blanco, selected by President Barack Obama as the fifth presidential inaugural poet, as well as Francisco Aragón, former City Poet Laureate of West Hollywood Kim Dower, Blas Falconer, and Vandana Khanna reading selections live, with featured pre-recorded videos by Tess Taylor and Gaylord Brewer.

Living Legend, cellist Lynn Harrell and renowned violinist Lucia Micarelli are featured in a living room recital on The Broad Stage presents The Broad Stage Music Mornings, a new, recurring program featuring live performances from intimate rooms.

WomensWork Theatre Collaborative continues its Season of Madness with a limited run regional premiere of a?oeThe Madwoman in the Volvoa?? by Sandra Tsing Loh, based on her acclaimed memoir of the same title. Not choosing to go quietly into her sixth decade, Sandra and friends set a destination for Burning Man, an annual event of half-nude artistic stoners, where she creates a spectacular midlife blow up. It's a candid, hilarious and enlightening take on one woman's journey as she navigates her way through her middle-age maelstrom.

WomensWork Theatre Collaborative will present a trio of plays about madness in 2019-2020, the Collaborative's first full season of programming. 

On Saturday, July 13, from 10 am until 12 noon, Better Lemons and Theatre West will be hosting the Producers Panel "Show Me the Money!" with some of LA's premiere theatrical producers sharing their fundraising success stories and secrets. This panel discussion will provide a great opportunity for LA's vast theatrical community to ask questions on what it takes to produce a show in Los Angeles. The "Show Me the Money!" event will be a panel discussion and a conversation with the audience to address specific situations and opportunities. All of the panelists are producers with a diverse background of fundraising experience, from attracting wealthy benefactors to leveraging public funds.

East West Players (EWP), the nation's longest-running professional theatre of color in the country and the largest producing organization of Asian American artistic work, is pleased to announce its 54th Season, We Are the Ones We Are Waiting For.
