Following Legendary's and Warner Bros. Pictures' 2014 success with the global reinvention of the Godzilla franchise, the companies have come together to create an epic, new shared cinematic franchise. Central Works 25th anniversary season continues with PROJECT AHAB; or, Eye of the Whale, a new musical about how a band of hippies, mystics and visionaries changed the world. Set in 1973, in the formative years of the ecology movement, Project Ahab converts Moby Dick, Melville's classic story of a man bent on killing a whale, to that of a man determined to stop the killing of whales; or, 'Ahab goes after the whalers.' Central Works' 48th world premiere opens with a press night tonight, July 18 (previews July 16 & 17), and runs through August 23 at the historic Berkeley City Club.

This Spring at New Conservatory Theatre Center, it's the end of an era and a battle of the sexes, with the San Francisco Premiere of a sumptuous and wildly theatrical comedic drama, Compleat Female Stage Beauty by Jeffrey Hatcher, directed by Founder & Artistic Director Ed Decker.

Charlie Brooks, best known as Janine Butcher from EastEnders, stars in Beautiful Thing, at The Marlowe Theatre, later this month (March).

Nikolai Foster's celebrated anniversary production of Jonathan Harvey's Beautiful Thing will return to the West End in 2015, playing a limited season at the Arts Theatre where it originally enjoyed sell-out success, from 3 June - 11 July. This London season will be part of an 18 week UK tour, opening in Canterbury in March, then visiting Birmingham, Manchester, Guildford, Nottingham, Northampton, Leicester, Cardiff and Brighton.

Casting is now complete: best known as series regular 'Kris Fisher' in Channel 4's Hollyoaks most recently seen on screen in BBC2's The Fall, and on Netflix' epic Titanic: Blood and Steel, Gerard McCarthy will star as 'Tony'. Other theatrical credits include The Merry Wives of Windsor at the Globe, and Blue/Orange for ATG. Vanessa Babirye, recently seen on screen in BBC 2's Our Girl, and at the National Theatre in Romeo and Juliet will star as 'Leah'. Also joining the company will be Rob Ellis and Natalie Law.
