MOONSHINE begins previews for its World Premiere at The Dallas Theater Center tonight, Wednesday, Sept 2, with an official opening night set for September 18, and runs through October 11.

Moonshine: That Hee Haw Musical, a new musical comedy lovingly (and loosely) inspired by the classic TV series, will get the Broadway treatment when it has its eagerly awaited World Premiere this fall at Dallas Theater Center. The musical, which had a much-buzzed-about industry reading in September, features a score by multi-Award winning artists Brandy Clark (a 2015 Grammy Award nominee for Best New Artist) and Grammy Award-winner Shane McAnally, two of country music's hottest new singer/songwriters. With a book by Robert Horn, direction by Gary Griffin and choreography by Denis Jones and musical supervision, arrangements and orchestrations by Tony and Grammy Award-winner Stephen Oremus, Moonshine: That Hee Haw Musical begins performances at Dallas Center Theatre on September 2, 2015, where it runs through October 11, 2015.

She will take the stage alongside Alan Cumming as the Emcee at Studio 54 in 2014, co-directed by Sam Mendes and Rob Marshall. Sundance Institute just presented playwright and Sundance Institute Theatre Lab alum Branden Jacobs-Jenkins with the first-ever Tennessee Williams Award from the Institute's Theatre Program, which supports the development of new work for the stage. Sundance Institute Emeritus Trustee Sally Field presented the honor and accompanying $10,000 grant at the Celebrate Sundance Institute benefit for its Theatre Program last night at Stephan Weiss Studio in Greenwich Village.
