Nashville Rep to Present Murderous Musical CHICAGO This Spring

Nashville Repertory Theatre is proud to produce the award-winning, Broadway hit CHICAGO, the murderous musical depicting the balance between power, notoriety, and getting your way. CHICAGO will run March 19 - April 16, 2016 in Johnson Theater at Tennessee Performing Arts Center. Preview performances are March 17 and 18.

Friday night, Street Theatre Company continued their history of bringing edgy, daring theatre to the Nashville theatrical community. HEATHERS: THE MUSICAL is the latest venture for Street Theatre Company. Based on the 1989 movie of the same name, starring Wynona Rider and Christian Slater as Veronica and JD, HEATHERS: THE MUSICAL could possibly be the darkest, most twisted comedy this theatre-goer has ever seen. With book, music and lyrics by Laurence O'Keefe and Kevin Murphy, HEATHERS: THE MUSICAL takes audiences inside of a typical 1980s high school, with an extreme twist.

Meanwhile, John Chaffin's Cliffhanger continues at Chaffin's Barn Dinner Theatre and Cumberland County Playhouse continues its 50th anniversary season with a whole slate of terrific shows.

Due to popular demand, Tennessee Repertory Theatre has extended its production of the multiple Tony Award-winning musical Cabaret with book and lyrics by Joe Masteroff and Fred Ebb and music by John Kander. Performances have been added through Saturday, March 16. Tickets for the added performances will go on sale Tuesday, February 5 at 10 am. Cabaret runs February 16 - March 16 at TPAC's Johnson Theater (with preview performances February 14 - 15).
