MCC's SMOKEFALL, Starring Zachary Quinto, Begins Tonight Off-Broadway

MCC Theater welcomes film and television star Robin Tunney, making her stage debut opposite Zachary Quinto in the New York premiere of Smokefall by Noah Haidle, directed by Anne Kauffman, who directed The Nether for MCC last season to great acclaim. Smokefall will play the Lucille Lortel Theatre (121 Christopher Street) with previews beginning tonight, February 4, 2016, and an opening night set for February 22. It is scheduled through March 13.

Seacoast Repertory Theatre has announced that it's award winning film series, Let's 'B' Reel, will get a 'witchy' facelift for the month of October with 3 unique and interactive film screenings, with a portion of proceeds benefiting the Portsmouth Halloween Parade. The 'Let's 'B' Witched' screenings also mark the one year anniversary of Let's 'B' Reel. Each week from October 8th-October 22nd The Rep will offer up a cult movie focusing on the horror subgenre of witches and witchcraft. Each will feature a unique and hilarious pre-show provided by hosts Timothy Fife and Bunny Wonderland (Knate Higgins).
CABARET to Air on Reel 13 this Month

With Alan Cumming and Michelle Williams currently starring in the Roundabout Theatre Company's revival of 'Cabaret' on the Great White Way, Reel 13 broadcasts Bob Fosse's Oscar-winning movie version. The legendary Broadway director and choreographer brought him and star Liza Minnelli Academy Awards. In fact, the 1972 film still holds the record for most Oscar wins in a single year without winning the 'Best Picture' category, copping eight in all. (The Godfather received that prize.)
