The New York Philharmonic will pay tribute to the 125th anniversary of the birth of film legend and auteur Charlie Chaplin, as well as to the 100th birthday of his most famous character, The Little Tramp, in 'Charlie Chaplin's Modern Times: The Tramp at 100,' September 19-20, 2014, conducted by Timothy Brock in his Philharmonic debut. The program is part of the second season of THE ART OF THE SCORE: Film Week at the Philharmonic, which opens with the previously announced La Dolce Vita: The Music of Italian Cinema, led by Music Director Alan Gilbert (today and tomorrow, September 16-17).

Museum of the Moving Image's ongoing series See It Big! presents classic and contemporary films on the big screen in the beautiful Sumner M. Redstone Theater. In November and December, the Museum will showcase 22 films photographed by some of the world's greatest cinematographers, including Gordon Willis, Vittorio Storaro, Vilmos Zsigmond, Nestor Almendros, Raoul Coutard, James Wong Howe, and more. Greta Gerwig and Alison Pill have been added to the cast of Woody Allen's latest film, The Bop Decameron, which begins filming July 11 in Rome, according to Hollywoodreporter.com. The complete cast line-up, announced Monday, includes Alec Baldwin, Roberto Benigni, Penelope Cruz, Judy Davis, Jesse Eisenberg and Ellen Page. Allen will also act in the film as well as write and direct.

The national touring production will visit 30 new venues beginning Oct. 7 in Champaign, IL and stopping in Los Angeles; St. Louis; Salt Lake City; and Seattle; among other top markets.
