54 Below has announced a $300,000 matching gift challenge made possible by a generous donation from the Robert W. Wilson Charitable Trust Fund. The campaign will raise funds to support the institution’s mission to preserve and expand the art of cabaret. 

J. Robert 'Bobby' Spencer spends a lot of time in airports. He has been traveling for the last 13 years with The Midtown Men all over this country and while doing so has become a part of the million-mile-club. Concord Theatricals Recordings will release the original cast recording of MCC Theater’s world premiere production of Jason Robert Brown's The Connector.

Moonstone’s THE SOUND INSIDE is a well-constructed piece of theatre but has a story that simply did not resonate. Rapp’s story left me flat. Walking away from the theatre, and reflecting on the overall production, I wanted to like THE SOUND INSIDE more than I did.   Despite the criticism of the overall story, I still suggest seeing this production for a few reasons. First, Ryan Lawson-Maeske's performance. His enigmatic Christoper is gripping. Second, Mary Louise Parker won the Tony Award for her portrayal as Bella, so there is a strong likelihood that audiences may disagree with this assessment of the script. Finally, it is a polished production with strong collaboration between the director, his actors, and the technical crew.  

The Garden Theatre is currently presenting ANN, a one-woman show highlighting the life of the prolific Texas governor, Ann Richards. Nora Hahn stars as Ann, and with her ability to play to the audience in such an intimate way yet still have the gravitas of a bold politician, Hahn was clearly the right choice.

The Robert Plant Presents Saving Grace tour will feature Suzi Dian with Taylor McCall as the recurring special guest. The tour begins March 13th in Bristol.
