Wow! What a night at Broadway San Jose's production of 'In The Heights'. Winner of four 2008 Tony Awards, including Best Musical, the cast of 'In The Heights' rapped, hip-hopped and merengue'd their way through Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Quiara Alegria Hudes' immigrant tale of angst, hope, community and love - and, in the process, danced their way into the hearts of the audience.

The Tony Award winning Best Musical IN THE HEIGHTS, which celebrates life in a Washington Heights barrio, breezed in and out of the beautiful McCallum Theatre for three sold-out performances last weekend and did not disappoint - mostly.

In The Heights opened Tuesday night in Toronto, and BWW is thrilled to bring its readers these exclusive photos. The Tony Award Winning musical by Lin Manuel Miranda was eagerly anticipated by fans who weren't able to see it in NYC. The show plays The Toronto Centre for the Arts until February 19th 2012.

Exciting, passionate and historical. That's how Michael Balderrama, resident director and choreographer of In The Heights, has described the cast for the Second National Tour of the musical, who started rehearsals in New York last month. A brand new cast has been gathered to bring the award-winning show across the States. 'All of them are fresh, from top to bottom, there's no one who has been on the show before,' Balderrama explains. The world premiere production of ROSE BOWL QUEENS, written by Grammy nominated song writer Barbara Hart and Cheryl Gimbel and directed by Kay Cole, will end its run at The Lounge Theatre on April 11th.
