Detroit features an all-ensemble cast including Kevin Anderson, Kate Arrington, Ian Barford, Robert Breuler and Laurie Metcalf. Detroit plays September 9 - November 7, 2010 in Steppenwolf's Downstairs Theatre, 1650 N. Halsted St. The press performances are: Saturday, September 18 at 3 pm and Tuesday, September 21 at 7:30 pm.

Duo: 1 Is 1 ; 2 Is Math.' ...The 'I Do I Do' for the new century. The story follows a couple from their first meeting (played by Chicago veterans Suzanne Petri and Roger Anderson) through their marriage. A Union filled with the ups and downs of their relationship as they move through their life together, growing, moving, changing, through difficult times and life's lessons until they discover 'Why We Stuck.' They are funny and moving and human. This sophisticated yet approachable play, directed by Steppenwolf ensemble member, Robert Breuler, is filled with new and affecting music composed by Elizabeth Doyle. 'Duo' is a new work that appeals to everyone from the young couples starting out to couples that are in the middle years-the difficult time in a relationship that is everyday yet long lasting. The story comes alive with insight, intelligence and wit. This is a staged reading and the producers, SuzBo Entertainment welcome suggested donations and feedback is strongly encouraged. A reception with refreshment will follow immediately after the reading.

Steppenwolf celebrates its 34th season with GALA 2010: Choose to Believe on Saturday, May 8, 2010 at 6:30 p.m. at Steppenwolf Theatre Company (1650 N. Halsted St.) and this year's spacious new reception venue: Structured Development's TruServe Building, 1460 N. Halsted St.

The Steppenwolf Theatre Company Ensemble is pleased to announce its newest member, playwright Tarell Alvin McCraney. Among his many accomplishments, McCraney is the author of the critically-acclaimed The Brother/Sister Plays, currently playing at Steppenwolf through May 23, 2010. As a playwright, he has collaborated with Steppenwolf ensemble member Tina Landau on seven productions and readings nationally. He also appeared on stage at Steppenwolf in Landau's 2004 production of Theatrical Essays. Additionally, McCraney was recently commissioned by Steppenwolf, through support from the Joyce Foundation Awards, to write a new play for the Steppenwolf ensemble based on the biblical book of Job. The Steppenwolf ensemble, the longest-existing theater ensemble in the U.S., now totals 43 members.

Farruggio, Jessie Fisher, Richard Henzel, Keith Kupferer and Guy Massey runs April 21 ? May 10, 2009 in the Steppenwolf Downstairs Theatre, 1650 N. Halsted. Tickets are available to the general public for weekend performances only, with all additional shows reserved for school groups.
