This holiday week the Virtual Opera Tour’s Magic Opera Flying Carpet is making its first stop at Opera San Jose for their magnificent online performance of Three Decembers. It costs $40 to watch on demand.The price is a bit steep, but the story is affecting, the music is fabulous and the performances are riveting. 

Roy Williams's SING YER HEART OUT OF THE LADS will be performed in a pop-up venue at Chichester Festival Theatre, the Spiegeltent, which will be transformed into a pub setting to create an immersive theatrical experience. Directed by Nicole Charles, the cast is: Harold Addo, Makir Ahmed, Dajay Brown, Alexander Cobb, Rob Compton, Kirsty J Curtis, Jennifer Daley, Martyn Ellis, Michael Hodgson, Jack James Ryan, Billy Kennedy, Sian Reese-Williams, Richard Riddell and Mark Springer.

HighTide Festival Theatre will announce full casting for its 2013 season (see below for full details). Also HighTide is pleased to announce further 'In Conversation' events with writer and director Stephen Poliakoff CBE, and playwright and novelist Michael Frayn. Author and broadcaster Kate Mosse will conduct the conversation with Michael Frayn, whilst television presenter Rick Edwards will hostconversations with Stephen Poliakoff and (previously announced) Roger Michell.

Now through 12 August, 2012, the Criterion Theatre presents Playing The Games, a programme of work that celebrates both artistic and sporting talent featuring emerging and established actors, comedians, musicians, playwrights and Olympians. As part of the programme, Sam Hodges, Producer of the Criterion Theatre, has commissioned two new plays by emerging British playwrights Serge Cartwright and Adam Brace in response to the presence of the Olympic Games in London. Stage and screen star Patrick Stewart stars in the Royal Shakespeare Company production of THE MERCHANT OF VENICE, directed by Rupert Goold. Set in Las Vegas, the production runs through October 4.
