Old Vic Announces Teams For TS ELIOT US/UK EXCHANGE PROGRAM

The Old Vic announced today the final 100 participants selected to take part in The TS Eliot US/UK Exchange, a programme to nurture the best young British and American theatre practitioners.

Woodshed Collective has announced that its 2009 spring gala benefit S. O. S. - Sipping on Schmaltz, will take place Monday, June 1, when The Ford Lobby at Playwrights Horizons 416 W. 42 Street will transform into a cruise ship-style cabaret show, and the schmaltz will flow aplenty! Cocktails begin 6pm; performance begins at 7pm; more sipping and schmoozing at 8pm.

Mike Daisey Honored As terraNOVA's Artist Of The Year 5/6-31

terraNOVA Collective is proud to announce it will honor Mike Daisey (How Theater Failed America, If You See Something, Say Something) as this year's soloNOVA Artist of the Year at the 2009 soloNOVA Arts Festival, running May 6-31 at the DR2 Theatre and D-Lounge at the Daryl Roth Theatres off Union Square. Mr. Daisey will open the festival with the premiere of a new monologue Why Solo Performance Matters: A Manifesto on May 6, 2009 at 8pm in the DR2 Theatre.

Cupcakes & Performances Set For TerraNOVA Benefit 4/2

terraNOVA Collective is set to host an evening to benfit terraNOVA Collective Thursday, April 2 at DR2 Theatre and D-Lounge 103 East 15th Street. This extra special evening will begin with a Welcome Reception at 7pm in the DR2 Lobby with chocolate and desserts from some of New York?s finest bakeries including Magnolia Bakery & Tonnie?s. The Mainstage Performance will begin at 8pm in the DR2 Theatre. Performances will include Roger Bonair-Agard (HBO's Def Poetry Jam) and previews from the upcoming 2009 soloNOVA Arts Festival, including: Preston Martin (Fun Design with Svelte) and magician Jeff Grow (Creating Illusion). Concluding the performances, packages will be up for sale including tickets to some of the hottest Broadway shows as well as NY & NJ sporting events.
