Cheeyang Ng Opens Musical Theatre Factory's Fifth Season

Award winning singer-songwriter Cheeyang Ng will make his composer debut at Joe's Pub on September 24 (Monday) 9:30pm, opening Musical Theatre Factory's (MTF) fifth season with new Producing Artistic Director, Mei Ann Teo, at the helm.

Theater Resources Unlimited (TRU) announces the 2018 TRU Love Benefit, 'The Power of Community: Bringing People Together Through the Arts.' The event will honor legendary A Chorus Line co-star and co-founder of the National Asian Artists Project Baayork Lee, who will receive the TRU Spirit of Theater Award for a lifetime of creating opportunities for Asian artists; and off-off-Broadway maverick, creator of the former OOBR Awards and the Midtown International Theatre Festival, John Chatterton who will receive the TRU Entrepreneur Award for providing 17 years of developmental opportunities for a range of independent theater artists.

Theater Resources Unlimited (TRU) releases their latest podcasts through TRUpods: October's panel 'Women Producers: What They Uniquely Bring to the Table;' November's 'Understanding Off-Broadway: Defining and Achieving Success;' and December's 'Beyond Broadway: A Broader Perspective on Developing New Musicals.' TRUpods also hosts a selection of the last two years of TRU panels and selected workshops, including modules from three popular Producer Boot Camps: 'Recognizing Commercial Potential,' 'Weekend Intensive for Showcase Producing' and 'Essentials of Self-Producing.' Podcasts are free for members of TRU, $10 per podcast for non-members. Memberships can be purchased online at https://truonline.org/membership for $95/year for individual membership, $130/year for a group or company.
