Written by Elice and directed by Tony Award-winner Roger Rees and Tony Award-nominee Alex Timbers, Peter and the Starcatcher officially began performances at New World Stages (340 West 50th St.) on Monday, March 18, 2013, after ending its triumphant run on Broadway at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre on Sunday, January 20, 2013.When the cast heard that the Coney Island Mermaid Parade is currently trying to raise funds through a Kickstarter campaign, they made a video to show support for the cause. Peter and the Starcatcher, the five-time TonyAward-winning play, began performances last night, March 18, 2013 at New World Stages. The cast includes returning Broadway cast members Rick Holmes, now playing Black Stache, Jason Ralph, now playing Boy, along with Kevin Del Aguila as Smee, Matt D'Amico as Slank, and Evan Harrington as Alf, all reprising their roles. They are joined by Nicole Lowrance (Molly), Edward Baker-Duly(Lord Aster), Josh Grisetti (Fighting Prawn), Alex Hernandez (Captain Scott), Nate Miller (Ted), Andrew Mueller (Prentiss), Jon Patrick Walker (Mrs. Bumbrake),Jordan Geiger, Joanna Howard, and Graham Stevens.

Casting is announced for Westport Country Playhouse's Script in Hand playreading of "Over the River and Through the Woods" by Tony Award-winning playwright Joe DiPietro, a comedy about a single, Italian-American guy who visits his beloved, though annoying, grandparents every Sunday for dinner. Scheduled for one-night-only on Monday, November 12, 7 p.m., the cast includes Matthew Amendt, Nicole Lowrance, David Marguiles, Frances Sternhagen, Maria Tucci, and Lenny Wolpe. Director is Anne Keefe, Playhouse artistic advisor.

Director Michael Wilson, straight from the Broadway opening of "The Best Man," has lined up a cast of New York veteran and major regional performers for the preview presentation of a "new" William Inge play on April 18.
Wilson helms "Off the Main Road" on Wednesday, April 18, at 7:30 p.m., in the William Inge Theatre at Independence, Kansas. The Inge work will be the opening night event of the 31st Annual William Inge Theatre Festival at the playwright's alma mater Independence Community College.
