The Women's Voices Theater Festival has announced that Allison Janney, award-winning star of stage, screen, and film, is the 2018 Festival's Honorary Chair.

National New Play Network, the country's alliance of nonprofit theaters that champions the development, production, and continued life of new plays, announces its 2017-18 grant recipients, including the 2017 Smith Prize for Political Theatre, seven Producer Residencies, and five Collaboration Fund awards that will support partnerships between multiple Member Theaters, playwrights, and other theater makers in various projects.

Florida Repertory Theatre's 2017 PlayLab Festival of new plays and emerging voices plays in the Historic Arcade and ArtStage Studio Theatres April 27-30. The 2017 Festival features six new play readings, a keynote address and playwrights' panel, and two premieres of plays that were read as part of last year's PlayLab.

Orlando Shakespeare Theater (Orlando Shakes) in Partnership with UCF hosted a week-long development workshop in collaboration with the National New Play Network (NNPN) of Mishka Lavigne's new play Albumen from February 28 to March 5, 2017. The Good to Go Festival is proud to host their inaugural summit with industry leaders on Wednesday, November 18th at 5:00 PM at Theater Center located at 1627 Broadway in NYC.

With almost 400 people in the audience, the leading lights of Tennessee theater were heralded with the presentation of the 2015 First Night Honors Gala, Sunday night at the iconic and historic Chaffin's Barn Dinner Theatre in Nashville. Hosted by Geoff Davin, Stephanie Jones-Benton and Erica Patterson, the event featured musical numbers by more than 100 performers in tribute to the Class of 2015 Honorees.
