Trinity Repertory Company's Education Department has announced the winners of their second annual Write Here, Write Now! Student Playwriting Competition.

From the little boy who survived a seven-day stand-off with a madman in an Alabama bunker this past week to incredibly lucky people who walked away from unbelievable crashes and freak accidents, "20/20" reports on survivors, rescues, near-death experiences and spontaneous acts of heroism. "Saved" airs on "20/20" TONIGHT, FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 8 (10:01-11:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

Williams Street Repertory presents John Michael Coppola of Chicago's Jersey Boys in the role of Bobby in its production of Company, opening tonight, February 1, 2013 at Raue Center For The Arts. Company will run through February 16, 2013 (select dates and times). The book is by George Furth, and music and lyrics are by Stephen Sondheim. Verve Music Group recording artists The Tenors (formerly known as The Canadian Tenors), featuring Clifton Murray, Fraser Walters, Remigio Pereira and Victor Micallef, have announced their release week activity for the U.S. debut of their platinum selling album, LEAD WITH YOUR HEART. The multi-platinum selling singing sensations will kick things off January 11th at Madison Square Garden in New York City to perform the national anthem at a home game for the New York Knicks. Students in grades 9-12 from the six New England states are invited to submit an original short play (6-10 pages) between now and February 1, 2013. The winning playwrights will work with Trinity Rep staff members to further develop the work, and then see their play read by professional actors in front of an invited audience of friends and family.

Cape Town Opera returns to the UK this June & July for a tour of their acclaimed Porgy and Bess, culminating in a two week run at the London Coliseum. The show's score combines classic and newly discovered vocal performances from the Sinatra archives, along with Sinatra's signature arrangements by Nelson Riddle, Billy May and Quincy Jones, among others, and brand new charts, for this fresh innovative musical. Repertory Philippines' current 45th theater season reaches fever pitch with the premiere of composer Frank Wildhorn and book writer and lyricist Leslie Bricusse's overtly melodramatic, pop rock-laden Broadway musical JEKYLL AND HYDE. However, Menchu Lauchengco-Yulo, director for JEKYLL AND HYDE, along with her team, seems to have been rising above the original Broadway production's bad reputation since the local production opened last weekend. Whereas American critics find Wildhorn's body of work as "gallumphing, dunderheaded musicals that make everything by Andrew Lloyd Webber seems like great art," says Linda Winer of 'Newsday'; Filipino critics find Repertory Philippines' stripped-down incarnation of Wildhorn's most popular undertaking as nothing short of a miracle.
