The Valley Players present a classic of American theater, The Glass Menagerie by Tennessee Williams, a hauntingly poetic play about a struggling family in Depression-era St. Louis. Directed by Michael Halloran, the show runs from September 29-October 15 at the Valley Players Theater in Waitsfield.

Starring Academy Awards winners Natalie Portman (Broadway's The Diary Of Anne Frank) and Julianne Moore (Broadway's The Vertical Hour), and Charles Melton in a breakout performance, alongside a scene-stealing supporting performance from Cory Michael Smith (Broadway's Breakfast At Tiffany's). Multi-platinum, GRAMMY® winners Amy Grant and Michael W. 'Come Celebrate With Marilyn Maye' April 8 - 10th (and continued the last week in May). Marilyn Maye followed her sold out Carnegie Hall Concert by celebrating her 95th birthday with a sold out run of shows at 54 Below. Featuring musical trio Tedd Firth, Tom Hubbard, and Mark McLean.

The Cinema Audio Society announces its nominees in seven categories. Oscar-nominated production sound mixer Peter J. Devlin CAS (Black Panther, Wakanda Forever) will be lauded with the CAS Career Achievement Award. Alejandro González Iñárritu (BARDO, The Revenant, Birdman) will be honored as the 2023 CAS Filmmaker of the Year.

I grew up in a musical family. My grandmother was my piano teacher and she actually lived with us pretty much my whole life until I moved to Nashville. I remember going to Davidson's Record Shop in Huntington, West Virginia and getting the the single to Let It Be and I Want to Hold Your Hand by the Beatles.
