“Slip Sliding Away” by Vermont Author Sean Mulcahy is Released
by Christina Mancuso - Mar 19, 2014

Barking Rain Press, a non-profit fiction publisher, announced the print and eBook release of their latest novel, 'Slip Sliding Away' by Burlington, Vermont author Sean Mulcahy. 'Slip Sliding Away' is Mulcahy's first published book. Recession. Unemployment. Student loan debt. Moving back home. This is the rude 'welcome to adulthood' that college graduate Michael Reilly is striving to come to terms with-just like so many other Millennials. Now living with his father and stepmother, the only work he can find is a part-time retail job at the local mall. With few prospects, a failed romance and nothing but time on his hands, alcohol is fast becoming his only source of comfort. When his older brother is called back up to serve a third tour of duty in Iraq, Michael heads down to New Jersey to say goodbye-possibly for the last time-hoping to send his brother off with a wild weekend party. But his growing depression and frustration with his situation lead to dramatic and unexpected confrontations with his past-and his uncertain future. Ask for 'Slip Sliding Away' at your favorite bookstore, or buy it online at the Barking Rain Press website, Amazon.com, Barnes & Noble, Powells, or other independent booksellers. It is also available in most eBook formats through Amazon Kindle, Barnes & Noble Nook, iTunes, Kobo, Overdrive, InkBok, and many other outlets worldwide. Interested readers can view the first four chapters of 'Slip Sliding Away' for free by visiting the Barking Rain Press website at barkingrainpress.org.
