On Deck's New Manhattan Headquarters Open

On Deck (www.ondeckcapital.com), the technology-powered Main Street lender, announced today that New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg officially 'opened the doors' to the company's new NYC headquarters with an inaugural press conference this morning. On Deck is experiencing rapid growth and has increased employee count by 100% over the past year. On Deck's new office space is approximately 22,000 square feet, more than double the size of the previous New York office.

Harlem School Of The Arts Will Be Named The Herb Alpert Center

The Harlem School of the Arts (HSA) today announced that it will be naming its building to honor the generosity of Herb Alpert, Lani Hall Alpert and the Herb Alpert Foundation. On March 11, 2013, the Harlem School of the Arts' iconic home in Harlem will officially be named 'The Harlem School of the Arts - The Herb Alpert Center.'

New York City Mayor Bloomberg Set to Proclaim 'MARCH IS CABARET MONTH'

New York City Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg will issue a proclamation declaring March "Cabaret Month" in honor of a tradition long observed by New York City club owners. The proclamation will be presented at the Cabaret Hotline Anniversary Gala at the Laurie Beechman Theater on March 6th. Vocalist Craig Pomranz, who spearheaded the campaign to get the Mayor on board, will accept the document on behalf of the cabaret community including the organizations: Manhattan Association of Cabarets and Clubs (MAC), Cabaret Hotline, and The Mabel Mercer Foundation, which presents the annual Cabaret Convention each October.

NYC Parks Restores Carrère Memorial Stairs at Riverside Park

NYC Parks announces the completion of the restoration of the John Merven Carrere Memorial Stairs at Riverside Park, located at West 99th Street and Riverside Drive. The renovations were funded with capital allocations of $375,000 from Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg and $300,000 from Manhattan Borough President Scott M. Stringer.

MoMA Announces Plans to Open Seven Days Per Week Beginning May 2013

The Museum of Modern Art announces that it will open to the public seven days per week beginning May 1, 2013. Over the last two years, the Museum experimented with opening on Tuesdays-a day on which the Museum is usually closed-during summer months and holiday periods in the winter and spring. Based on the success of those initiatives, the Museum determined that its public hours should expand to seven days per week on a year-round basis.
