Marin Theatre Company's WOODY GUTHRIE'S AMERICAN SONG Extends Through 6/27

Marin Theatre Company has announced an extension of their revival of Woody Guthrie's American Song. The show now plays in Marin Theatre Company's Boyer Theatre through June 27, 2010. Conceived, adapted and directed by Peter Glazer, this musical has been pleasing audiences since its premiere in 1988. It won the Bay Area Critics Circle Award for best musical in its co-production at Berkeley Rep and San Jose Repertory Theatre in 1992.

Marin Theatre Company announced today that due to extraordinary ticket demand it will extend Woody Guthrie's American Song by one week. Bay Area audiences now have the chance to enjoy this stirring musical through June 27.

Marin Theatre Company (397 Miller Avenue, Mill Valley, CA) presents WOODY GUTHRIE'S AMERICAN SONG, a musical based on the life and times of the legendary songwriter. Conceived, adapted & directed by Peter Glazer with orchestrations & vocal arrangements by Jeff Waxman, WOODY GUTHRIE'S AMERICAN SONG will run from May 27 through June 20 with an Opening Night set for June 1.

Palm Beach Dramaworks and Aspen Theater Masters are proud to announce the formation of a new play development program, New Bridges Fest. The two organizations, which have been working together since summer 2008, will present Equity staged-readings of four new plays by emerging American playwrights on March 8th and 9th at 7:30pm in Aspen, Colorado at the Black Box Theatre, and March 23rd and 24th at 3pm and 7pm in Palm Beach, at Dramaworks' downtown theatre. Two plays will be presented at each reading, followed by brief post-show discussions with the playwrights and artistic team. The playwrights are winners of past Theater Masters' competitions.
