A Sherlock Carol has announced plans to return for the 2022 holiday season. Written and directed by Mark Shanahan (NPR’s Ghost Light Series), the show is currently playing an eight-week limited holiday engagement at New World Stages (340 West 50th Street), and has two weeks of performances left, with a final performance on Sunday, January 2, 2022.

The Outrageous Sophie Tucker is the story of a turn of the 20th century immigrant girl and how she became the Last of The Red Hot Mamas. The show chronicles her early years as a singing waitress at her family's restaurant in Hartford, and spotlights how a first-generation full-figured Jewish girl partnered with Black performers Bill “Bojangles” Robinson and Molly Elkins to revolutionize American entertainment, onstage and off.

The White Heron Theatre Company of Nantucket today announced that it will release an audio podcast adaptation of A Nantucket Christmas Carol, with Academy and Tony Award-winner Christopher Plummer playing the role of the narrator. White Heron will host a special 'Watch Party' as a fundraising benefit for the Theatre on Monday, December 14.
