The world music choral ensemble is led by Artistic Director Mary Cunningham, accompanied by Trevor Berens, piano and Bertram Lehmann, percussion.

Within the framework of his Christian Faith, life lessons from the game of football, his military family heritage, and with the love and support of family and friends, Miller finds the endurance to weather losing his wife of 15 years to a 20-month battle with breast cancer.

Over 50 community performers will take to the Citizens Theatre's stage on 28 and 29 October to perform The Gorbals Vampire, a new play by Johnny McKnight inspired by extraordinary real-life events which took place in the Gorbals over 60 years ago. The performances are the culmination of a 10-month long project which has involved local people, school children and the general public in a range of workshops, exhibitions and creative writing competitions inspired by the story.

Teddy Pendergrass was considered to be soul music's number one sex symbol in the '70s with songs like "Turn Off The Lights," "If You Don't Know Me By Now," and "Wake Up Everybody." He was on top of the world and at the height of his career in 1982 when a devastating car accident left him a quadriplegic. Teddy Pendergrass passed away in 2010 having lived with his challenge for 28 years. His story demonstrates that the greatness of the human spirit will never be defeated, no matter the challenges that we face in life.
