The 12th annual performances of Too Hot to Handel: The Jazz-Gospel Messiah take place at the Auditorium Theatre on January 14 and 15, the weekend before Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. Renowned soloists Rodrick Dixon, Alfreda Burke, and Karen Marie Richardson join legendary pianist Alvin Waddles in the celebratory production, which features a choir of over 100 choir members and musicians. Too Hot to Handel is based on George Frideric Handel's Messiah, and pairs Handel's traditional classical score with jazz, gospel, and blues.

The Auditorium Theatre announces another season of exciting, diverse programming which supports its commitment to presenting the finest performances in international and local dance, along with America's most cherished music, to Chicago. Highlights of the Auditorium's 2016-17 season include Cole Porter 125 - A Birthday Celebration, featuring Chicago singers and musicians; Ensemble Español Spanish Dance Theater in their "Made in Chicago" Dance Series debut; the return of Eifman Ballet's Red Giselle; and a new, innovative ballet by Dance Theatre of Harlem's Francesca Harper.

Chicago Opera Theater Reschedules All Performances of QUEENIE PIE After Harris Center Fire

Performances of Chicago Opera Theater's 'Queenie Pie' have been rescheduled due to an electrical fire that damaged a portion of the Harris Theater's operational and mechanical equipment in the late afternoon of February 19, 2014. The Chicago Opera Theater Box Office will be contacting patrons who purchased tickets with rescheduling options. The new 'Queenie Pie' performance date and times are:

Punchdrunk's Sleep No More is an award-winning theatrical experience that tells Shakespeare's classic tragedy Macbeth through a darkly cinematic lens. Audiences move freely through the epic world of the story at their own pace, choosing where to go and what to see, ensuring that everyone's journey is different and unique. Sleep No More began performances on Monday, March 7, and officially opened on Wednesday, April 13 to rave reviews. It has since gone on to win such theatrical honours as the Drama Desk Award for Unique Theatrical Experience and the Obie Awards' Special Citation for Design & Choreography.
