The Segal Centre for Performing Arts is proud to close its 2013-2014 English Theatre season with Caryl Churchill's influential British play Top Girls, directed by Micheline Chevrier and featuring an all-female cast led by Laura Condlln and Leni Parker. Presented in the Segal Theatre from April 27th - May 18th, 2014.

The cabaret, with the performers seated on stools, will star Scott Plate and be directed by Victoria Bussert. The topic of the cabaret will be Winsor French.

For the third year in a row, WAM Theatre and The Mop & Bucket Improv Company (MopCo) will bring together over 50 theatre artists from the Berkshire and Capital Region areas to produce the 24hr Theatre Project. Together, these artists will mount five short works; all written, rehearsed, and performed in 24 hours. The 3rd Annual 24hr Berkshires/Capital Region Theatre is hosted by Proctors Theatre in Schenectady, NY, with a public performance taking place tonight, May 18 at 8pm.

Award-winning television executive and producer Margaret Loesch, currently founding President and Chief Executive Officer of The Hub TV Network, has been inducted into the Mass Communication and Journalism Hall of Fame at the University of Southern Mississippi. She is among four inductees to be honored at a ceremony November 15 in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. Ms. Loesch, one of the most successful program executives in the history of children's and family television, earned a bachelor's degree in political science from the university.

Capital Repertory Theatre announces its inaugural trip to the Dublin Theatre Festival, October 6 through 14, 2012. The Albany theatre will join forces with The Chester Theatre (Chester, MA) to take 30 people on an 8-day excursion to the Emerald Isle, accompanied by Artistic Director co-hosts, Maggie Mancinelli-Cahill of Capital Rep and Byam Stevens of the Chester company.

Capital Repertory Theatre announced today a call for entries for plays to be considered for its upcoming NEXT ACT! New Play Summit. The theatre is accepting manuscripts of plays now through end of day on Monday, July 16.
