Black 2: Broadway, the acclaimed production celebrating the contributions of performers of color in the arts, returns with its final production of 2008. Celebrating the life and work of Broadway Veterans BJ Crosby & Adrian Bailey, this exciting evening will feature performances by Broadway's Chuck Cooper, Marva Hicks, Ebony Jo-Ann, Tina Fabrique, Alyson Williams, The Broadway Boys, Chester Gregory, Multi Award Winning Recording Artist Tonex (currently spelled: 'TON3X') and many more on Monday, November 3rd at The Schomburg Center For Research in Black Culture located in Harlem.

The 2nd Bi- Annual Urban Theatre & Entertainment Festival/Awards will kick-off with a Celebrity Gala hosted by Melba Moore, and JoMarie Payton. Invited celebrities include Marvin Webster, Gary Guidry, Jecaryous Johnson, Malik Yoba, Ella Joyce, Malcolm-Jamal Warner, Obba Babatunde, Dawnn Lewis, Jackee' and many more

Playwright Charles Messina returns for this Spring's Shortened Attention Span Baseball Festival with his semi-autobiographical one-act, Klepto, to open a limited run as part of the Festival and runs opening week, March 6-9. Show times Thursday through Saturday at 8PM; Sunday at 3PM. The Players Theatre is located at 115 MacDougal Street

Former 'Sopranos' star Jason Cerbone will appear in Charles Messina's new play Merging that will debut at The Players Theatre in Manhattan in October as part of the theatre's Shortened Attention Span Horror Festival.

Taking the chill out of the arctic blast was Evidence Dance Company's annual Grace in Winter Gala, chaired by art world legend Lowery Stokes Sims, former president of the internationally acclaimed Studio Museum in Harlem and longtime curator of Modern Art at the Metropolitan Museum.

The New Group has extended its revival of Wallace Shawn's The Fever through March 9th.

Malik Yoba will star opposite previously announced Tony Award-nominee Daphne Rubin-Vega (Bernarda Alba, Rent) in the New Group's production of Zvi Rosenfeld's Everything's Turning Into Beautiful, which will run from July 17th through August 26th at the Acorn Theatre in Theatre Row

Jennifer Holliday will serve as co-host of the Black 2 Broadway event--honoring Tony Award winners of color--on June 11th
