The Actors Fund Housing Development Corporation (AFHDC) today launched a market study to determine the interests of performing and visual artists and others associated with the arts, entertainment and creative industries in affordable housing in Rahway, NJ. In an event at the new Hamilton Stage, the AFHDC began a four-week initiative to survey artists from metropolitan New York to Trenton, NJ. Survey results will help shape the Rahway Residence for the Arts, a 69-unit affordable housing project the AFHDC will develop in the Rahway Arts District (RAD).

The Actors Fund's 2nd Annual CelebriTee Golf & Tennis Outing took place on Monday, July 9, 2012 at the historic Knickerbocker Country Club in Tenafly, New Jersey, raising more than $50,000 in support of The Fund's Lillian Booth Actors Home in Englewood, New Jersey. Broadway and film legend Celeste Holm was joined by her husband, Frank Basile, and Joel Spector, the artist who painted her portrait, as a beautiful painting of her likeness was unveiled on Thursday, May 31st, at The Actors Fund's Lillian Booth Actors Home in Englewood, New Jersey. Graham Brown, a New York City born actor, died on Tuesday, 13 December. He was 87 and succumbed to Pulmonary Failure at the Lillian Booth Actors' Fund Nursing Home in Englewood, New Jersey where he'd been a resident since 2009.

Young performers from the casts of Billy Elliot the Musical, Mary Poppins, The Lion King, Warhorse and several past Broadway productions will sell homemade goodies at the 5th annual Broadway Kids Care Bake Sale the afternoon of November 5 in Fireman's Park (48th Street between Broadway and 8th Avenue) between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. The event will benefit local children who reside in NYC Shelters at the Freedom House and Secret Garden.
