FOOTLOOSE Returns To DLC Summer Stage 8/1-8

After successfully debuting in 2008, DLC Summer Stage is pleased to announce their second exciting performance. Footloose will run at the Drama Learning Center, the home of DLC Summer Stage, from August 1-8, 2009 (complete schedule is below). One of the most explosive movie musicals in recent memory bursts onto the live stage with an energetic cast of DLC and Red Branch Theatre Company performers.

Rep Stage Continues 16th Season W/ GOD'S EAR 4/1-4/26

Rep Stage, the professional Equity theatre in residence at Howard Community College (HCC), continues its 16th season with the regional premiere of Jenny Schwartz's 'God's Ear,' playing April 1 through April 26, 2009 in the Studio Theatre of HCC. 'God's Ear' focuses on a young couple, Ted and Mel, and how they cope with the loss of their son. Positioned firmly in the center of 'God's Ear' is the concept of language, and how language and expression are used to deal with tragedy and grief. Paul Morella (Ted), Julie-Ann Elliott (Mel) and Lauren Williams (Lanie) star; Helen Hayes Award-winning director Kasi Campbell directs. Kander & Ebb's 'Happy Time' Opens 4/1 at Signature

The Signature Theatre continues its national Kander and Ebb Celebration with a new production of the Broadway greats' forgotten musical The Happy Time, performed in Signature's 110-seat ARK Theatre. The Happy Time is part of a four-month celebration of the works of John Kander and Fred Ebb, the longest song-writing partnership in the history of the American musical theater. The Happy Time plays Tuesday, April 1 through Sunday, June 1, in repertory with Kiss of the Spider Woman in The MAX Theatre (through April 20), then The Visit (May 13 - June 22).
