NOW That's What I Call Music!, the world's best-selling multi-artist album series, has announced that they are set to release their first ever NOW That's What I Call Broadway! on Friday, April 29, 2016. The album will feature 18 music tracks from the original cast recordings of some of the Great White Way's most legendary shows. The album features liner notes by David Cote, theater editor for Time Out New York as well as a playwright and librettist/lyricist.

Michael Grayman and Andy Parkhurst co-direct the Kansas City premiere, which is one of the first regional theatres to secure the rights to the musical. Spinning Tree Theatre in Kansas City announced their selections for the 2014-2015 season. The new season sees Spinning Tree grow from three shows per season to a fourth show. When Tim Minchin and Dennis Kelly's musical MATILDA, based on Roald Dahl's novel by the same name, first leapt across the pond most assumed that the Broadway cast would not get a cast recording. However, this production has been full of surprise announcements like Bertie Carvel reprising his role as Miss Trunchbull and the addition of an overture and pre-show curtain. Garnering positive notices when it opened on Broadway, the MATILDA (Original Broadway Cast Recording) does a great job capturing the spirit of the clever and spunky show.

The Tony Award winning Matilda the Musical welcomes today, September 3, Craig Bierko and Jill Paice to the company as Miss Trunchbull and Miss Honey, respectively. Bertie Carvel and Lauren Ward played their final performances in those roles on September 1.
