THE CHRISTIANS, a new play written by Lucas Hnath, will open at the Center Theatre Group / Mark Taper Forum on Sunday, December 13, 2015, at 7 p.m. CTG and Playwrights Horizons are presenting performances of the Actors Theatre of Louisville production through January 10, 2016. Center Theatre Group has selected singers from across the greater Los Angeles area to perform as members of the church choir in the West Coast premiere of THE CHRISTIANS written by Lucas Hnath and directed by Les Waters. THE CHRISTIANS is presented by CTG and Playwrights Horizons at the Mark Taper Forum, December 2, 2015, through January 10, 2016. The opening is set for December 13.

OUTSPOKEN: SHAKESPEARE IN SHACKLES will make its national debut on Hollywood's Theatre Row at Studio C Artists on September 25th, 2015, with a large cast playing Shakespeare's most gregarious characters from multiple plays in the Canon. Penned by Blaire Baron Larsen (The Milk Meetings), OUTSPOKEN was workshopped last year at the famed Los Angeles Drama Club, where Larsen serves as Artistic Director.

On Wednesday, June 3, A LITTLE NEW MUSIC returned to Rockwell: Table & Stage in Los Feliz for its 8th edition, showcasing the best of new musical theatre writing with an incredible cast of Broadway and local talent. LA Puppet Fest 2014, back for its second year, is a city-wide celebration dedicated to sharing and promoting the art of puppetry through performances and workshops. New York Theatre Workshop (NYTW) will host a one-night-only staged reading of the hit off-Broadway play, UNNATURAL ACTS, to benefit The Trevor Project on Monday, January 27, 2014. The special event will be held at 7pm at NYTW (79 East Fourth Street, between Bowery & Second Avenue) and will feature the entire original off-Broadway cast. A brief panel discussion to follow.

Martin Mirkheim, small time chiseler and producer, perilously in debt, decides to finance a film of a book called 'Daniel Strong,' written by a pseudo-religious, late night self help guru. Mirkheim's efforts include drug dealing and deception to achieve what he feels is a 'pure goal.' The play is a disturbingly entertaining indictment of American values, filled with brilliant gutter language and tightly-wound characters whose eagerness to be 'strong' made them the New American Monsters of their time. It will be presented by Strudel Productions (www.strudelproductions.com) January 14 to 23, 2010 at the Kraine Theater, 85 E. 4th Street.

Gorilla Rep will return to free Shakespeare in the park this August, with Julius Caesar, to be performed Fridays & Sundays, from August 7 -30, on the lawn below the New Leaf Café, Parking Area in Ft. Tryon Park. The production, which will be the full, uncut version, is directed by Stephen Fried & is presented to the public for FREE. There will be no intermission, but audiences will be able to leave & rejoin the performance in progress.
