Shakespeare & Company presented Liz Duffy Adams' playful comedy OR, based on the real life of Britain's first female playwright, Aphra Behn, last night and BroadwayWorld was there. Directed by Alice Reagen and featuring Company actress, Tod Randolph, as Aphra, Allyn Burrows as King Charles and Nehassaiu deGannes as Nell Gwynne. The production runs through September 4th in the Tina Packer Playhouse and is staged in-the-round.

The magic of Venice was in the air at Shakespeare & Company last night. After a stirring performance of The Merchant of Venice, directed by Tina Packer in the Tina Packer Playhouse, it was cocktails, dinner, and dancing under the stars on the beautiful campus of Shakespeare & Company. Guests mingled with actors and dignitaries at the annual Gala and BroadwayWorld was there. The play runs through August 21st. Check out the photos below.

Shakespeare & Company presented the first full American production of Red Velvet, written by Lolita Chakrabarti, directed by Daniela Varon, and starring OBIE Award-winning actor John Douglas Thompson last night and Broadwayworld's Stephen Sorokoff was there. Highly-respected and widely-admired television executive Tom Cerio has decided to retire from his daily role as Executive Vice President, Cable Sales, Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution at the end of March, staying with the company in a sales consultancy role. Cerio will be replaced by David Decker, who will be promoted to Executive Vice President, Cable & SVOD Sales, Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution. The announcement was made today by Jeffrey R. Schlesinger, President, Warner Bros. Worldwide Television Distribution. Decker will report to Ken Werner, President, Warner Bros. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Bethenny Frankel's talk show will be launched in national syndication on FOX stations beginning in 2013. The former 'Real Housewives of New York' star had a successful six-week trial run of the her chat fest last spring. According to the report, Warner Bros has sold the show to FOX stations which will air it on their biggest U.S. markets.

TBS has acquired the off-network rights to 2 Broke Girls, the breakout hit comedy created by Emmy(R) winner/executive producer Michael Patrick King (Sex and the City) and white-hot comedian Whitney Cummings (Whitney). Television's #1 new series of the 2011-12 season with adults 18-49 and the #1 new comedy among total viewers, 2 Broke Girls is distributed by Warner Bros.
