The Mabel Mercer Foundation has announced the performers for The 21st New York Cabaret Convention. Among the performers for this celebration of cabaret will be Elaine Stritch and Christine Ebersole.

June 29, 2010 will mark the 100th anniversary of composer and lyricist Frank Loesser's birth. Loesser wrote over 700 songs and five Broadway musicals and contributed music and lyrics to dozens of Hollywood films, and was awarded an Oscar, a Grammy, two Tony awards and a Pulitzer Prize along the way.

The new season will begin with Johnny Rodgers performing What A Wonderful World May 11-29. The show will feature his versions of 'What A Wonderful World,' 'Huggin' and Chalkin,' 'Too Marvelous For Words' and his own songs 'Home To Mendocino,' 'One More Moment' and 'The Best Of You In Me.'

The Manhattan Association of Cabarets & Clubs has announced the nominees for the 2010 24th Annual MAC Awards. The ceremony honoring the nominees, will take place on May 4, 2010 at B.B. King Blues Club & Grill, and will be hosted by Sharon McNight. Leslie Uggams will be honored for Lifetime Achievement, with Board of Directors Awards being presented to Peter Leavy and playbill.com. The event will begin at 7:30pm. Doors open at 6:00pm. Lennie Watts will direct the evening, with Tracy Stark musical directing.
