Boston Court Pasadena Announces Selections for New Play Reading Festival

Boston Court Pasadena announced the full details of its 14th annual New Play Reading Festival, July 19 - 28.  Curated by Literary Manager Emilie Beck, in concert with Artistic Directors Jessica Kubzansky and Michael Michetti, the New Play Reading Festival is a key component of Boston Court Pasadena's commitment to nurturing playwrights and new work, and continues the company's core mission of developing and programming works that are inherently theatrical, textually rich, and visually arresting. This year's Festival features four female playwrights.

Macy and Golden Globe(R) nominee Emmy Rossum, premiering on Sunday, September 9 at 9 p.m. ET/PT, followed by the series premiere of the new half-hour comedy series KIDDING, starring Golden Globe(R) winner Jim Carrey in his first series regular role in more than two decades and reuniting him with Oscar winner Michel Gondry (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind), at 10 p.m. ET/PT.

Gabrielle Marlena Releases New Single EASIER LOVE Announces New EP

Brooklyn-based Indie-folk artist Gabrielle Marlena announced the release of her new EP and premiered it's first single and title-track 'Easier Love' via GroundSounds. The new EP follows up Marlena's debut full-length album, Good Music For You, and was written during her cross country tour following the release of her debut album in August of last year. She booked the tour herself and drove across 13,000 miles on her own to play 25 shows in 21 different states - all in 36 days!

PDFUHM's Department of Theatre and Dance presents legendary filmmaker and director Ingmar Bergman's Nora during the centennial year of his birth. Bergman, born July 14, 1918, is globally known for his work in the film industry directing, writing, and producing over sixty films over the course of forty years including The Seventh Seal, Wild Strawberries, and Fanny and Alexander. In addition to his career in film, Bergman also worked in theatre directing 170 plays and writing and adapting plays for the stage like Nora.
