JERSEY BOYS' John Michael Coppola to Bring A JERSEY VOICE to NJ, CT and NY

John Michael Coppola, from Chicago's long running production of JERSEY BOYS, will bring his solo concert, A JERSEY VOICE: Sinatra to Springsteen...And Everyone In Between. Featuring song selections from the 1940s through present day, the set list includes songs made popular by such artists as Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Billy Joel, Bruce Springsteen and of course, Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. Coppola understudied and performed the role of Frankie Valli in the Chicago production of the Broadway hit.

The Marriott Theatre, 10 Marriott Drive, Lincolnshire, will recognize Patriot Day by offering current and retired military personnel a complimentary ticket when they present their military identification to the 5 p.m. performance of FOR THE BOYS on Sunday, September 11th. The Chicago Company of JERSEY BOYS will say 'Bye, Bye Baby' to the Windy City on January 10, 2010, after an incredible run of over two years at the Bank of America Theatre. JERSEY BOYS, the story of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, premiered in Chicago initially as a limited engagement on October 5, 2007. After opening to rave reviews, adding additional performance weeks and setting four new box office records, JERSEY BOYS became a resident production on February 27, 2008. The final performance on January 10, 2010, at 2 p.m. will be the Chicago Company's 951st. The final block of tickets for performances from November 24, 2009 - January 10, 2010 will go on sale on Friday, September 11 at 10 a.m.

In a special event celebration, Chicago Mayors Richard M. Daley (City of Chicago) and Jeffery T. Sherwin (City of Northlake and Chair, Metropolitan Mayors Caucus) will host mayors from the metropolitan area honoring the company of JERSEY BOYS, commemorating over two years of performances in Chicago at the Bank of America Theatre. The event will takes tonight, October 27 beginning at 6:45 p.m, with 9:45 p.m. special onstage curtain call at the Bank of America Theatre.

The Chicago Tribune's Chris Jones is reporting in his 'Theater Loop', that The Bank of America Theatre in Chicago's Loop, which the hit musical JERSEY BOYS calls home, was evacuated around 9 p.m. Tuesday night after police found two suspicious boxes with notes attached in the alley outside the theater.

As a special thank you to Chicago and to commemorate the second anniversary of performances at the Bank of America Theatre, the Chicago company of JERSEY BOYS will host four 'Stage Side Chats' with cast members. Audience members at Tuesday night performances through the month of October (October 6, 13, 20 and 27) will be invited to a brief question and answer session following that evening's performance with the actors who bring this show to life eight times a week. This is the last chance theatergoers will have to get up close and personal with Chicago's JERSEY BOYS before they end their run at the Bank of America Theater on January 10, 2010.
