Little Radical Theatrics Announces Cast of This Summer's OLIVER!
by Louisa Brady - Jun 4, 2016

In an effort to truly live up to its name, Little Radical Theatrics will be bringing to Westchester a wildly theatrical, moving, and innovative retelling of one of musical theater's most celebrated classics, Lionel Bart's OLIVER. Utilizing the iconic Charles Dickens novel, embracing the darkness and grittiness of his original text, we will begin at the end. With the aid of an ensemble cast, a stark, minimalist set, and the limitless possibilities of imagination, we enter a lonely, condemned cell in Newgate Prison, wherein the 70-year-old Fagin spends his last two hours alive before his execution being haunted by the people and events that led to his inevitable demise. The timeless story of the young orphan boy navigating through the seedy underbelly of London's crime world will be turned on its head. This will also be the first official production of the 2009 London Palladium Version!

Lawrence R. Deering Pens THE HART OF JOHN
by Christina Mancuso - Jun 1, 2016

William Hart didn't receive his parents' charisma or bravado, but he did end up with their good looks and intellect. He turns to that amazing intellect to find a lost manuscript related to an alternate version of the book of Revelation he found in his uncle's papers - the same uncle who founded an organization uniting the major religions of the world while creating a massive military peacekeeping force. As this new novel released by Dog Ear Publishing reveals, what happens during Hart's quest could forever change history. The Brotherhood of Man had been founded 30 years earlier by Hart's uncle, Aaron Davis. Hart's mother, Esther, was an officer and co-owner of the company until she was led to leave with his father, a famous documentarian. Esther eventually betrayed her brother, revealing the truth about Aaron and the Brotherhood - and his quest for world power and eventual downfall. Now William, a professor of religious studies who is proficient in Hebrew, Aramaic, Latin and Greek, works to find a lost manuscript he believes contributed to his uncle's rise to power. But he's not the only one looking for it. Paul Rutledge, a Satanist with powers of his own, is relentless in his pursuit of the manuscript for his own purposes. The search will take William, his parents and friends thousands of miles and put them in danger. 'The Hart of John' tells the story of an ambitious man who needs a successor, a faithful young woman afraid for her life and that of her unborn child, and a passionate follower who believes he's Satan's emissary on earth. If the alternate version of the book of Revelations becomes known, it will shake the very foundation of Christianity and the world. This classic tale of good vs. evil creates heart-racing moments and bone-chilling realizations that change the concept of God and the devil himself. Author Lawrence R. Deering began writing after spending more than 35 years as a health-care executive. He is passionate about music and has been building a vinyl record collection for more than 40 years. His Southern Baptist roots are reflected in his books, which often explore the effect of organized religion on lives. Deering and his wife, Lisa, live in Orlando and St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands. He also wrote 'Youth Group' and 'The Brotherhood.' For additional information, please visit www.theHartofJohn.com The Hart of John Lawrence R. Little Radical Theatrics to Present A FUNNY THING HAPPENED ON THE WAY TO THE FORUM
by Tyler Peterson - Jan 14, 2016

Little Radical Theatrics (Fatima Viegas, Executive Producer) proudly presents its first show of LRT's 5th full season, the classic Broadway comedy "A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum". Directed by LRT Artistic Director Michael J Mirra, Choreographed by Bretten Popiel with Musical Direction by Steve Loftus. "Something familiar, something peculiar, something for everyone: a comedy tonight!" is the promise of one of Broadway's most loved musicals. Sure, producers and audiences may have missed the boat with the heavily anticipated, indefinitely postponed James Corden-led revival this past season, but that's where the Little Radicals come in to serve up the surplus of silliness! A FUNNY THING … FORUM tells the story of Pseudolus, a slave in ancient Rome, who goes to great lengths to gain his freedom by helping his young master woo the pretty girl next door.
