Amanda Holden Announced As New Patron Of Polka Theatre

Ahead of the opening of their new season and their 40th anniversary next year, Artistic Director of Polka Theatre, Peter Glanville, today announces that Amanda Holden will join the theatre as a new Patron. Holden has been specifically brought on to support the upcoming Future Polka capital development which is scheduled to begin next year.

Female director Vika Evdokimenko's Aamir is based on a true story of an unaccompanied child living in the Calais 'Jungle' refugee camp, where part of the film was shot. This topical film stars second generation immigrant Alan Asaad (Unforgotten) and has just been nominated for a BAFTA for Best British Short Film. This wonderful film will be screening in the coming weeks at the London Short Film Festival.

Belarus Free Theatre Announces The Next Kitchen Revolution Supper Club, Featuring Masha Gessen

On Tuesday 16 January, Belarus Free Theatre will host the next Kitchen Revolution supper club, featuring celebrated Russian-American journalist and leading LGBT activist Masha Gessen. The evening will be chaired by Hazel Healey, editor at the New Internationalist magazine, and will also feature Occupy activist and news commentator Jamie Kelsey-Fry.

National Youth Ballet Announces 30th Anniversary Season

Jeffrey Holland Replaces Roy Hudd in WAITING FOR GOD UK Tour

Jeffrey Holland will star as Tom Ballard in the premiere stage production of the BAFTA-nominated WAITING FOR GOD which will begin a 12 week UK tour on 20 April.  He replaces Roy Hudd, who has withdrawn from the production on medical advice, due to ill health.
