On Monday, October 17, at 6:30 PM, the Bedford Stuyvesant Restoration Corporation will host the Restore Brooklyn Annual Benefit gala, honoring Congressman Joseph P. Kennedy III, Tony Award-winning director Kenny Leon, Jay Walder and Jacqueline Berrien (posthumously).

As the country gears up for an intense presidential election, issues like race, gender, class and age creep into the national conversation. This fall, Brooklyn- a renowned epicenter of New York's politics- becomes a stage for these issues with Richard Wesley's political drama AUTUMN. The Old Globe presents the first offering in the 2016 Summer Shakespeare Festival: William Shakespeare's thrilling classic Macbeth, directed by Brian Kulick, Artistic Director of Classic Stage Company and a leading Shakespearean expert. The so-called 'Scottish Play' runs now through July 24, 2016, in the Lowell Davies Festival Theatre. The Old Globe today announced the complete cast and creative team of the first offering in the 2016 Summer Shakespeare Festival: William Shakespeare's thrilling classic Macbeth, directed by Brian Kulick, Artistic Director of Classic Stage Company and a leading Shakespearean expert. The so-called "Scottish Play" will run June 19 - July 24, 2016, in the Lowell Davies Festival Theatre. Previews run June 19 - 24. Opening night is Saturday, June 25 at 8:00 p.m. Tickets start at $29, on sale now to the general public.

 New Neighborhood's new development collaboration with Rattlestick Playwrights Theater and Rattlestick West in LA. featured a reading of The Refuge Plays Trilogy: Protect the Beautiful Place, Walking Man, and Early's House, written by Nathan Alan Davis, on February 19, 2016, at the Women's Project Theater at the McGinn/Cazale Theatre in New York. Project Protest: The Art of Revolution, presented by The Center for Arts & Culture at Bedford Stuyvesant Restoration Corporation (Restoration), takes an unflinching look at how people and communities of African descent have responded to issues of inequality and social injustice through protests. 

'Autumn' is an extraordinary political drama now on the Crossroads Theatre stage through May 3rd. Written by Richard Wesley and directed by Seret Scott, this is a pertinent, must-see theatrical event.

In the fall of 2013, The Jerome L. Greene Performance Space at WNYC & WQXR undertook a historic undertaking: to record -- for the first time -- all 10 plays from August Wilson's lauded American Century Cycle. Those audio recordings, along with exclusive video excerpts and photographs from the readings, are now being made available for online streaming on a time-limited basis here until August 26, 2015.

Goodman Theatre, in collaboration with Chicago's various off-Loop theaters and Northwestern University, unveils partial programming in its spring 2015 citywide "August Wilson Celebration" -- an extensive retrospective of the late playwright's life, artistry and influence on American culture. The seven-week Celebration takes place in March and April 2015 on dual landmark occasions: the 70th anniversary of the Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright's birth and the 10th anniversary of his death.

The Oregon Shakespeare Festival opens its outdoor theatre the weekend of June 13-15 with two Shakespeare productions, Richard III, directed by James Bundy, and The Two Gentlemen of Verona, directed by Sarah Rasmussen. Also opening is Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine's musical Into the Woods, directed by Amanda Dehnert. The shows will close the weekend of October 10-12.

The Oregon Shakespeare Festival is pleased to produce a reading of August Wilson's Radio Golf in support of Penumbra Theatre Company in St. Paul, Minnesota. The reading will be held at 7:00 p.m. Monday, June 24 in the Angus Bowmer Theatre as part of OSF's Juneteenth Celebration.

This is very much a character driven play and this talented cast handled each of their unique roles with adoring respect for August Wilson, which was reflected onstage in their interactions with each other as a family
