The Human Race Theatre Company is continuing its 2019-2020 'Women of Influence Season' with the Dayton premiere of Gloria: A Life, a new play celebrating the life and legacy of one of the most important figures of America's feminist movement.

The Kitchen Theatre Company is set to begin its 2019-2020 season with The Children by Lucy Kirkwood, a thought-provoking play that tackles the themes of mortality, consequence, and environmental legacy. Performances of The Children begin at the Kitchen Theatre Company in the Percy Browning Performance Space on September 8 and will run

Acting is hard.  The ability to lay yourself bare night after night, emotionally (and sometimes physically)  is something that does not come easily to most people.  Add into that the ability to react honestly to your acting partners, even though you may know their lines better than they do. Failed novelist Olivia meets Ethan, a celebrated (and much younger) writer made famous by his sexcapade tell-all blog, at a snowbound bed and breakfast, and their mutual attraction quickly gets hot and heavy. As a weekend tryst develops into a long-term romance, their personal and professional lives collide. Ethan seeks legitimacy, dismissing his bad boy reputation as nothing more than an invented character. Olivia has her doubts, but craves the literary fame Ethan can offer her. Ambition, identity and trust are in play when online personals clash with real world expectations in this smart, steamy take on modern love.

The Phoenix Theatre of Indianapolis announces the Midwest Premiere of This, by Melissa James Gibson, opening Thursday, March 31, 2011 on the Phoenix Mainstage and playing through Sunday, April 24, 2011.

The tale of mistaken identity, misguided romance and miscreants plotting nefarious schemes will be set in 1920s America instead of ancient Illyria.

The Human Race Theatre Company presents it's own adaptation of Charles Dickens' classic A Christmas Carol, back by popular demand, at The Loft Theatre in downtown Dayton December 10 through 23 and 26 and 27.
