On Tuesday, May 8, the CMA Foundation will present the third annual Music Teachers of Excellence Awards, honoring 34 music educators from districts across the state of Tennessee, as well as Chicago, Cincinnati, Seattle and Los Angeles, for their innovation and commitment to music education. The invite-only event will be hosted by multi-platinum RCA Records Nashville recording artist and CMA Foundation board member Chris Youngat Nashville's Marathon Music Works. The CMA Foundation created the Music Teachers of Excellence program in 2016 in an effort to recognize the best and brightest music teachers from Nashville and beyond. 

UK's Oldest Traditional Sari Shops Are Setting For HANDLOOMS

Set to unfold within two of the UK's last remaining traditional sari shops, Rasa Theatre and Contact present HANDLOOMS, written by Rani Moorthy and directed by Alan Lane (Slung Low). Exploring the sari from a rarely-taken male perspective, this immersive performance will be performed inside working businesses Alankar House of Sarees in the heart of Manchester's Curry Mile and Anokhi House of Sarees in Leicester to give audiences a close encounter with a world that is slowly dying out.

Tony Winning Producer Corey Brunish's New Musical Selected for London's BEAM2018 Festival

Multiple Tony Award winning producer Corey Brunish has had his new musical selected as a finalist for London's BEAM2018 Festival to take place in March of 2018.Out of 300 applicants, only 8 have been selected for a 25 minute presentation.Brunish wrote the musical with twins Dina and Rosabella Gregory.(fotos enclosed)The musical is called My Marcello and is a comedy about love in a small Italian village.
