BLOODY BLOODY ANDREW JACKSON Celebrates 100 Performances at the Public, 6/19

Theater (Artistic Director Oskar Eustis; Executive Director Andrew D. Hamingson) announced that the critically acclaimed rock musical BLOODY BLOODY ANDREW JACKSON will play its 100th performance on Saturday, June 19 at 9:30 p.m. By the time the show closes at the end of June, it will be the second highest grossing show in The Public Theater's downtown history.

The cast of the new Off-Broadway hit, BLOOD BLOODY ANDREW JACKSON now playing at The Public, gathered on April 26 to record their cast album, which will be produced by Kurt Deutsch and Dean Sharenow on the Sh-K-Boom/Ghostlight Records label. A release date for the album will be announced shortly.

Due to popular demand, The Public Theater will extend the critically acclaimed rock musical BLOODY BLOODY ANDREW JACKSON through Sunday, May 9. A co-production with Center Theatre Group and in association with Les Freres Corbusier, BLOODY BLOODY ANDREW JACKSON is written and directed by Alex Timbers and features music and lyrics by Michael Friedman. The show began previews on March 23, officially opened on April 6 and was scheduled to close on April 25.
