Westport Country Playhouse will present a Sunday Symposium on playwright Samuel Beckett with Deirdre Bair, recipient of the National Book Award for 'Samuel Beckett: A Biography,' and Mark Lamos, Playhouse artistic director, following the Sunday, July 11, 3 p.m. matinee performance of Beckett's 'Happy Days,' directed by Lamos.

Directed by Mark Lamos, Playhouse artistic director, the production is the third in the Playhouse's premier season under Lamos' artistic direction. The Merrimack Repertory Theatre will end the world premiere of Richard Dresser's THE LAST DAYS OF MICKEY & JEAN on April 11, 2010.

Merrimack Repertory Theatre continues its long relationship with playwright Richard Dresser, commissioning and mounting this world premiere, the seventh of his plays featured on the Lowell stage. The third annual GAYFEST NYC, the country's premier festival of new gay-themed plays, will be presented June 3-6, 2009 at the Abingdon Theatre Arts Complex, 312 West 36th Street, New York City. The not-for-profit GAYFEST NYC, Inc. develops new LGBT works for world stages and film and television production and provides in-school elective programs and scholarships for students of Harvey Milk High School.
