Most recently seen on "The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson," comedian Greg Warren continues to impress, having been "on the rise for the last decade" according to Punchline Magazine. Fans can catch Warren live early next year at Comix At Foxwoods beginning Thursday, Jan. 3 at 8 p.m., with additional shows Friday, Jan. 4 at 8 p.m. and Saturday, Jan. 5 at 8 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Tickets are $20 for advance general admission ($30 day of show) and $40 for advance VIP admission ($50 day of show). VIP admission includes priority club access and reserved table selection before general seating begins. A two-drink minimum applies to all tickets, which are on sale now. This show is for mature audiences only.

Comix At Foxwoods Presents Amy Schumer, March 30

Stand up talent, Amy Schumer, will bring her blend of wholesome, girl-next-door looks and edgy comedy to the Fox Theater stage on Saturday, March 30, 2013 at 8 p.m. for one hysterical performance. Tickets are $30, $40 and $50, and are available for pre-sale on Thursday, Nov. 29, and for regular sale Friday, Nov. 30 at 10 a.m. The show is presented by Comix At Foxwoods and is intended for mature audiences only.

Comedian Bob Marley, Returns to Comix At Foxwoods in January

High-energy comedian Bob Marley will take his routine to the stage at Comix At Foxwoods for four shows in January 2013 beginning Thursday, Jan. 24 at 8 p.m., with additional shows on Friday, Jan. 25 at 8 p.m. and Saturday, Jan. 26 at 8 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Tickets are $25 for advance general admission ($35 day of show) and $50 for advance VIP admission ($60 day of show). Crowd favorite at many top comedy clubs in New England, Corey Rodrigues knows how to keep audiences on the edge of their seats. This December, Rodrigues will bring his stand-up act to the Comix At Foxwoods stage for four shows on Thursday, Dec. 27 at 8 p.m., Friday, Dec. 28 at 8 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 29 at 8 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. General admission tickets can be purchased in advance and online for $20 ($30 for the day of) and VIP tickets for $40 ($50 the day of). "Last Comic Standing" and "Chappelle's Show" veteran, Kyle Grooms, will bring his stand-up routine to New England this December. Grooms will be showcasing his act for four shows on the Comix At Foxwoods stage, beginning Thursday, Dec. 6 at 8 p.m., with additional shows Friday, Dec. 7 at 8 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 8 at 8 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. General admission tickets are on sale now for $20 ($30 the day of), and VIP admission tickets for $40 ($50 the day of). La MaMa E.T.C. presents the World Premiere of Triple Shadow's new theater production, 2 FROM THE SEA, composed of two solo adaptations of plays whose themes are based on stories of the sea: Holiday Memory by Dylan Thomas, performed by Seamus Maynard, and Riders to the Sea by John Millington Synge, performed by Mari Andrejco. Both are directed by Beth Skinner and feature live music composed and performed by Edward Herbst. Lighting design is by Bessie and Drama Desk-winner Paul Clay (RENT), and scenic design is by Obie Award-winner Jun Maeda. The three-week season runs tonight, October 18 through November 4 at La MaMa E.T.C., 74 East 4th Street, NYC.

The Cultivating Culture Series, a series of performances of new work designed to foster a culture of creativity as well as engage with the culture of Pittsburgh, are all being held at ModernFormations Gallery, continuing tonight, September 22 and October 13 & 27.

The Press Association reports that Angelina Jolie has just been names a special envoy by the United Nations refugee agency. The film star, who was recently engaged to long-time partner Brad Pitt, has been promoted from being a goodwill ambassador to a role that will allow her to represent the UN at the diplomatic level to governments and diplomats.
