The 2014 Season at the St. Jacobs Country Playhouse is off to a fun and frightful start with I'll Be Back Before Midnight, the original comedy thriller. Full of plot twist and turns that are both subtle and sublime, this mischievous dark comedy is on stage through March 30th.

Actor and comedian Rannazzisi got his first taste of television success as one of the smart-ass cast members on MTV's Punk'd. After being recognized on stage by Ashton Kutcher at the Comedy Store in West Hollywood, Steve was quickly signed up for the show. Since then Steve has continued to make audiences laugh in television, feature films and on comedy stages across the country.

With a good idea for a comedy routine or TV show, those inner talents that are dying to be discovered can be honed with a little help from the experts who will be teaching some unique adult ed workshops at The Ridgefield Playhouse. First up is comedienne Christine O'Leary's Comedy Writing Workshop for would-be comedians on Mondays March 3 thru April 14, from 7 - 9 p.m., followed by a "graduation showcase" at The Ridgefield Playhouse. Next is "Introduction to Screenwriting with Katie Torpey", for people who dream of turning a movie idea into a bona fide screenplay, on Tuesdays from 7:30 - 9:30 p.m. starting March 25 thru May 20. Comedienne Christine O'Leary will teach stand-up comedy writing and guarantees that all students will be funny, without risk of not being laughed at, every Monday night for eight weeks. Students will learn the fundamentals of comedy writing and performance concluding with a comedy graduation show at The Ridgefield Playhouse. Everyone will pass with flying colors. Christine O'Leary is a social worker, project manager, social media editor and professional award-winning comedienne whose humor takes her to stages all over the country. This course is part of Hamlet Hub's A Whole New You Series.

EVITA has returned to L.A. by way of Hollywood Pantages for a limited three week engagement, now through November 10, 2013. Directed by Tony and Olivier Award-winner Michael Grandage and choreographed by Tony Award-winner Rob Ashford, this national touring production comes directly from the first new Broadway revival of the seven-time Tony Award-winning musical, since it debuted on Broadway over 30 years ago. Deadline reports that TNT's FRANKLIN & BASH has been renewed for a fourth season.

Bestselling author Jane Porter (Flirting with Forty, The Good Wife) has teamed with popular author friends Megan Crane, CJ Carmichael and Lilian Darcy on Montana Born Books, a romance imprint of The Tule Group. The Tule Group was launched in August 2013 by Porter as a publishing company 'for authors, by authors.' Tule kicks off Montana Born Books on September 10 with the debut of the Copper Mountain Rodeo Series.

Dallas Theater Center announced today that Michael Holloman has been named the 2012-2013 Project Discovery Distinguished Educator of the Year. Hollomon is the Director of Theater for R.L. Turner High School and, in his five-year involvement with Project Discovery, has brought 1,100 students to 29 productions at Dallas Theater Center. He is the ninth educator to receive this award.
